when searching for the perfect mood-altering baked good yesterday, i stumbled across this recipe from (of course) my girl martha.

fudgy brownies? why yes, yes i will.

i didn’t have the recommended chocolate (instead i had 100% unsweetened, she suggests using bittersweet) but i like a richer chocolate flavor, so i used the unsweetened and was pleased with the results. i think next time, i’ll sprinkle a bit of salt on top before eating – salty-sweet works really well with this dark chocolate, i suspect.

one convenient thing about this recipe – everything is made in one pan (you just add the ingredients to the melted chocolate), so clean-up is a breeze.
